The Persisters Issue

This issue of Geez Magazine focused on various forms of feminism in our current cultural climate. Performance artist Shawna Dempsey was asked to model for the cover which was a twist on a fashion magazine. At first, it would look like any cover at a newstand but when readers took a second look they'd see the playful irony that Shawna is known for. We won the Manitoba Magazine Award for the best cover photography that year.
